You can find results on:

Pinedale

Winter arrived in Pinedale last week just in time for the kickoff to the 2016-2017 WHSAA Nordic Ski season. Conditions at the White Pine Nordic Ski Area were excellent for racing this early in the season and over 150 skiers were able to enjoy 2 days of fantastic skiing.

The Jackson Hole High School team literally had the best time in the team competition taking first place  for both boys and girls. The boys team from Laramie took second place followed closely by the Natrona boys team. The Lander boys took fourth place, Kelly Walsh boys came in fifth followed by the Pinedale and Cody teams.

The Lander girls team took second place followed very closely by the Natrona and Kelly Walsh girls squads. The Laramie girls team took fifth, followed by the Pinedale and Cody girls.

Individual results on Friday were highlighted by strong performances by Liam McInroy from Laramie who took first place in the boys varsity competition with a time of 18:08.5 followed by Adam Pickett of Natrona and Noah Gans from the Lander Tigers.

Anna Gibson of Jackson finished far ahead of the field on Friday in a scorching time of 20:07.7 followed by Jackson Hole High School teammates Annabel Hagen and Abby Brazil.

Saturday's top female finishers were the same as Friday with Gibson finishing in 19:10.7, Hagen in 19:33.4 followed by Brazil at 20:35.4.

The Saturday boys top finishers were Liam McInroy from Laramie, Max Wilbrecht from Jackson and in third place Adam Pickett. McInroy improved his time on Saturday to 17:05.3 while Wilbrecht was close behind at 17:15.4

The WHSAA Nordic teams will travel to Jackson next weekend for two days of skiing at the Trail Creek Nordic Center near Wilson, WY. The teams will take a short Holiday break and pick things up in 2017 with races in Lander, WY on the weekend of January 6 and 7. Complete results for all races are available on the High Plains Nordic Ski Association website at highplainsnordic.org/race-results
