High Plains Qualification Standards

Athlete Qualifying Procedures and Policies 2020/2021
In Division Qualifiers:
U18-20: 8% back from the average of the top 3 overall race finishers in gender division shall count as a qualifying result.
U16: 12% back from  the average of the top 3 overall race finishers in gender division shall count as a qualifying result.

SOHO Super Qualifier:
U16-U20: 20% back from the average of the top 3 age group finishers shall count as a qualifying result.

Bozeman IMD Qualifier:
U16-U20: 15% back from the average of the top 3 age group finishers shall count as a qualifying result.

An athlete will be considered qualified for the High Plains JN team by posting a minimum of 3 qualifying results from the designated qualification events.

The qualifying standard is based upon a comparison of the predicted strength of field for each of the qualifying events.

Due to the unknowns posed by Covid-19 and the potential for a limited race season, the High Plains Board will review the existing qualification standard after the SOHO JNQ and reserves the right to adjust the qualifying standard.  Athletes and coaches will be notified via e-mail and the High Plains website
