HP Waxing Protocol JNQ and NRL Races  Adopted 2021

All skiers at all High Plains JNQ races agree to use a designated glide wax for those races. The race organizers will announce the glide wax to be used for all competitors by noon 3 days prior to the first race. The wax choices for the 2021/2022 season are:

Cold conditions – Swix High Speed 5 solid
Medium conditions – Swix High Speed 6 solid
Warm conditions- Swix High Speed 8 Solid

​Non-fluorinated kick waxes will be required for JNQ/NRL races in the HP division.

It is up to all of us: coaches, parents, and athletes to control adherence to the waxing protocol

All events hosted by other USSS Divisions will abide by the hosting divisions wax protocol.

At non-HP FIS events, any fluorinated waxes may be used unless the host/division say otherwise.

• In any HP qualifier hosted by another division athletes will follow that division’s wax policy and be will subject to testing and disciplinary actions. 
• ​​All HP in-division qualifiers will follow the honor system.
